Post-Operative Implant Placement Instructions

1. Do NOT rinse your mouth vigorously during the first 24 hours.
2. Use ice packs over the surgical area for 20 minutes at a time during the first day.
3. Use an elevated headrest or an extra pillow for the first 2 nights following the surgery.
4. If Bleeding begins in the surgical area, supply gentle pressure by biting on a roll of gauze for one hour. If the bleeding continues, please contact us.
5. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with the prescribed antimicrobial mouth rinse(Periogurard) after each meal and brush.
6. Follow the directions carefully for any prescribed medications.
